Land Records

Maintains historical land records, maps, plats and deeds and for all state reservations.

The Land Surveying & Records Section manages the Division of Forests & Lands' land records and catalogues land data. This section is charged with carrying out land title research, contracting appraisals, reviews due diligence documents, coordinates funding sources, organizes closing documents and maintains other information needed for tracking the Department of Natural and Cultural Resources land management.

The land surveying crew maintains survey maps for all properties, ensures that the 1,100 miles of boundaries are properly surveyed and monumented and provides assistance as needed for infrastructure projects, trail mapping,
