Nash Stream Forest Citizens Committee

Initially created in 1996, the Nash Stream Forest Citizen Advisory Committee provides a range of public values and interest in regard to the Nash Stream Conservation Easement and other agreements.

Nash Stream Citizens Committee works in partnership with the U.S. Forest Service (easement holder), the Division of Forests & Lands and other state agencies to serve as a focused source of public input to improve the information base influencing management decisions relative to the Nash Stream Forest.

This mission is achieved in part by:

  • Reviewing and commenting on work plans
  • Assisting with ongoing management plan monitoring efforts
  • Facilitating dialog between diverse interests and help resolve conflicts with resource decision making
  • Promoting communication and understanding of management issues

The Nash Stream Forest Citizens Committee was established into state law RSA 12-A:9-c.
